LIVE EVENT PAINTER IN FRANCE

Kiara, French artist and illustrator

My artistic career begun at 9 years old by taking painting lessons until I turned 18. Then, I have studied Arts at the Fine Arts High-school (Toulon), University of Fine Arts (Aix-en-Provence), Arts and Crafts patents (Nice, South of France). My professional life started as a mural artist in Nice town Hall’s, mainly by restoring frescoes. Later, I have moved to Canada in 2009, and I have discovered a wonderful artistic life.

I have worked for many decorators in Montreal (stage settings for theatres, TV, museums, events…), and I have exhibited my personal artworks in several Canadian cities ( Quebec and Ontario), American cities (New York, Philadelphia) and in China (Shanghai). Back in France in 2015, I started my own business Kiara in 2016.

Traveling is one of my great passion, and I have been drawing travel books for myself for many years (Canada, Cuba, China, Mexico, USA, India…). I have started drawing during weddings when my brother got married, in 2014. Since then, I have specialized in live painting during private or professional events

Fact #1: I have led an Art class for children in China!

In 2018, I have exhibited my Haute-Couture paintings in Shanghai. And the art gallery asked me to plan an Art class. So I have thought about a class related to my artworks, especially my cut canvas. Children have been so happy of their creations !

Fact #2: I create "Haute Couture" paintings

Since my childhood, I have been passionate about fashion world... When I was studying Art at the University, I inserted sewing and embroideries in my paintings. And today, I continue to mix painting and fashion design in my créations.

Fact #3: my first job is muralist!

I am used to paint on big walls and ceilings since 2005. I create bespoke murals for companies and private customers. I am as able to restore frescoes as able to create very contemporary murals. But my favorite rooms to decorate are children bedrooms !

Fact #4: I love to travel...

And to draw during my trips! I create travelbooks to keep beautiful memories with my watercolors... Here is a sketch from a temple in Bangkok, Thailand.
